We are all familiar with the feeling of overindulgence around the festive season, and we are quite relaxed about it – holidays are meant to be enjoyed, right? However, for some of us, the onset of midweek social gatherings from November onwards throws all sense of balance out the window. Rather than choose wisely and consistently, we bury our head in the sand and file it under ‘to be revisited in January’. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Our resident nutritionist Claire Coney takes us through a simple talk about how, with a little forward planning, we can still make better choices and maintain control over our eating habits. Its all about understanding what is going to nourish us and make us feel fuller for longer rather than reaching for the ferrerro rocher. Don’t worry you can still enjoy indulgences but just in a smarter way.
